We phoned our friend Jill Paget, who recently moved here from Perth, and arranged to meet at her house the next day. The GPS took us to her house on the outskirts of Woombye fairly easily in about ten minutes. She has a lovely house with a wonderful view from her verandah, overlooking an amazing variety of trees. The inside of her house is equally attractive and as always with Jill’s homes, is tastefully decorated and furnished. After a cup of coffee in the sunshine on her front stoep, the three of us set off along a beautiful scenic route passing over the Blackall Range and travelling along winding roads through forested folds and ridges past lush green pastures. We stopped at a lookout and were surprised at how high we were and took in the amazing view to the ocean 50 kms away. We continued along the winding road of the Razorback Line of the escarpment stopping at a few of the quaint mountain villages offering spectacular views of the coastal lowlands.
