A Guide to Noosa

Australia is one of those destinations that everybody loves. People who visit, love the place, and those who don’t, often talk about one day taking the time out to relax in this incredible country. I chose to travel there, and spent 8 months touring around, spending most of my time on the East Coast. One of the places that grabbed my attention was Noosa. But what is there in Noosa that is so appealing?

This seaside town is full of the rich and beautiful, with numerous restaurants hugging the main street. There are plenty of great places to eat all down one street, with ice cream outlets to help satisfy your sweet tooth. The town is always busy during the day with tourists and locals alike, all either heading to the beach or heading from it, and it’s easy to see why.

The beaches here are second to none in my opinion. The sand is golden, and the water is clear. With so many beaches all around Noosa it is easy to find one that suits you. Some have small waves whilst others have enormous waves, ideal for surfing. I found the main beach perfect for sunbathing and splashing about in the water. Body surfing is a must here, if you are not so keen on real surfing. If real surfing is your thing, then look no further.

Noosa has many surf school operating along the main beach, but away from the bathers. This beach is perfect for beginners, and I would definitely choose Noosa as a place to learn surfing for this reason. It couldn’t be easier to learn here. The schools offer very thick boards that float easily, allowing you to concentrate solely on keeping your balance. The instructors are both professional, and extremely knowledgable. Give it a go if you stay in Noosa for any length of time.

Around Noosa you will also find many walks. These take you along the shoreline, and up into the cliffs where stunning views can be had. Here you will see the other beaches that the pro surfers use, or those that intermediates use. There really is a beach for everyone. The walks also take you into the forests, and much wildlife can be seen for those with a keen eye.

The overall feel of this place is just magical, and always put a smile on my face. If you are travelling up the coast, give Noosa a go. Far too many people choose not to go to Noosa, and I would tell these people that they are missing out. If the beaches, the food, the entertainment, the surfing or the walks are not your thing, then stay in Noosa if only for a base in which to visit Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo. A bus will pick you up from the town centre and drop you back there at the end of the day. And the zoo is an absolute must in my opinion.

Come to Noosa, don’t miss out.

There are many reasons to select Noosa as a holiday destination. Fantastic beaches, quality accommodation, world class cafe’s and restaurants, tropical climate and accessibility being a few. Once you have made a decision to come and visit the next thing to decide where to stay?

A simple search on Google is likely to find numerous accommodation services and websites so it can pay to contemplate what kind of accommodation you would like prior to beginning searching. It will help to narrow down your search if you take the following into consideration:

How many people do you want to accommodate?

Are there children?

How much can you afford?

Will you have a car?

Will you like crowds?

Do you want ocean or river views?

Lets take a look at how answering these questions can help sort out the type of accommodation to consider and also the best location in Noosa.

Just how many people are you looking to accommodate?

The larger your group, the more important it is to find the right holiday accommodation. If you get a spot that is too small it may spoil the holiday for everyone. Some individuals really like their own space so groups greater than 4 should consider looking at different options – say for example a holiday home where you have a fully appointed, self contained house with lots of space for everybody. The perfect homes are going to have a swimming pool and ocean or water views.

Do you have youngsters?

Young people will love a holiday where there are a number of things to do nearby and space to run around. This will give you a couple of options – stay near to the beach so they can go there each day, or stay near a place with parks and bicycle paths to burn up energy. Another definite need is a swimming pool area so that at the end of the day they are able to go and frolic in the water to their hearts content. The one good way to spoil your holiday is to stay in a small place where the children are bouncing off the walls.

Just how much are you able to afford?

Establish yourself a budget before looking for accommodation. Most web sites allow you to search by nightly rate and this will cut out wasting time on checking out properties that don’t match your budget. If you are holidaying with friends and family look into pooling your funds and booking one large apartment or holiday house rather than several small apartments. A reasonable budget for accommodation is $100 per night per adult and $50 per child. If you budget with this amount you’ll be able to find high-end accommodation with sea views.

Do you have a car?

Bringing your car or hiring one upon getting there will broaden your alternatives. Not only in regards to where you can stay but also you’ll have the chance to day trip to the local interesting attractions including the Eumundi Markets, Underwater World, Australia Zoo and Aussie World. For those who have a car you’ll be able to stay in the nearby areas such as Sunshine Beach or Castaways Beach yet still be merely a 10 minute drive to Hastings Street as well as the main beach. Accommodation within these areas will be more affordable and quite often right on the beach. Going to the shops for groceries will be much easier and save a little money in the long run.

Do you really like crowds of people?

Having so much holiday accommodation available in the hub of Noosa you can find yourself caught up in a swarm of tourists all eager for the same area of beach or lined up for the very same ice-cream shop. It is important to take into consideration how raucous a large condominium complex might be – would you like to end up being next door to somebody that is drinking and playing music until 3am each night? There are numerous holiday accommodation options all around Noosa Heads that will be in a quieter area. You may need a peaceful getaway to have an opportunity to unwind and recharge your batteries.

Would you like to have ocean views?

Your getaway is a a chance to generate memories with the family and friends. If you’re able to look for a location that offers great views with out leaving the house then you will have excellent memories of sitting back and enjoying the show with your travel companions while you share good drink and food. If the lodging is simply 4 walls looking directly into yet another unit then you might as well have stayed at home.

Searching for the right accommodation is very important and you should view spending money on the holiday as an investment. Take a moment and think about what can help make your holiday location the best for everybody. Noosa Holiday Homes will provide an alternative that ticks all the boxes in regards to an inexpensive, luxury property with beachfront ocean views. It is a great place to invest time with family and friends that will create memories designed to last a lifetime.
