Terrific upgraded unit at the popular Island Colony. Great location, just minutes to buslines, beaches, restaurants, and of course over 360 days of sunshine a year. This is a very clean and bright unit on the 38 floor. It boasts views from the mountain to the ocean! Just a wonderful unit and a great place to live. Hope you can come and check it out soon. Endowed with rain forests, eucalyptus woodland, mangrove forests, wallum swamps, sand dunes and over 100 freshwater lakes, the island is made up of 800,000 years worth of sand accumulation. Inhabited by Indigenous Australians, it was previously referred to as the Great Sandy Island. Fraser Island got its current name from a shipwreck survivor, Eliza Fraser. To get to the island, backpackers can choose to take a ferry either from the two main access points to Fraser Island – from the west via Hervey Bay or from the south via Rainbow Beach (Inskip Point). To reach Rainbow Beach, backpackers can choose to either go through Gympie and from Noosa along Tewah Beach. Meanwhile, Hervey Bay is situated about 3 kilometers north-east of Maryborough. The ferries are in operation on a regular basis in both access points.

The roads in Fraser Island are purely sand, and what better way to fully experience the sandy composition of the island than to travel in style with four wheel drives.
